Intern Opportunity

Fresh Minds is now accepting applications for its 2027 Internship Programme.

We are firmly committed to growing a psychology workforce able to deliver services in the primary mental health and addictions sector.  This is a great opportunity to work in a team of Psychologists, Nurses and other Allied Health professionals with experience in talking therapies (such as CBT, DBT and ACT), behavioural health, group work, and youth mental health - who are passionate about delivering targeted talking therapies within primary mental health and youth mental health domains.  As an intern, you will join Fresh Minds as your home organisation.

You will be provided with a well-supported internship, participating in weekly peer review meetings and supervision from our Supervising Clinical Psychologist. With a strong team focus, there will be an opportunity to observe others and be observed to help strengthen your confidence in assessment and delivering interventions.

There will be opportunities for ongoing professional development relevant to the role of a psychologist working in our combined settings. We will support your learning experience by also providing cultural support, observing other psychologists at work and Health Improvement Practitioners (HIPs) at GP clinics, opportunities to participate in and facilitate groups if interested, and weekly Intern meetings with teaching that target the Intern's needs. Importantly, the internship will aim to support you to successfully achieve your internship learning objectives to allow you to progress to postgraduate job opportunities.
