IT Delivery Lead
Job Description
The opportunity
Our government client is moving to a single Oracle platform to consolidate common processes, data and reporting. The approach is a standard Oracle solution with minimal customisation, aligned to the All-of-Government Common Process Model. Design wraps up in December 2026, and Oracle HCM, Finance and Procurement go live by June 2027.
The role
You'll be the client's technical lead, working alongside the Delivery Partner and reporting to the Programme Manager. Your job is to make sure what gets built matches the approved design and architecture, and to keep technical risks and partner performance under control.
What you'll do
Be the go-to technical authority across Oracle Finance, HCM, Procurement, EPM and integrations
Guide technical delivery from design through build, testing, cutover and hypercare
Challenge the Delivery Partner constructively and make sure knowledge is handed over
Oversee environments, releases, integrations and data migration
Provide technical assurance at stage gates and go-live
Support governance forums and keep the Project Manager well informed with clear reporting and early escalation
What you'll bring
5+ years leading technical delivery of large enterprise transformation programmes
Hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud delivery, ideally across Finance, Procurement and HCM
Strong grounding in architecture, integration, environment and release management
Experience managing delivery partners and vendors
Solid governance, risk and quality assurance skills
Experience in large public-sector or similarly complex organisations
* Great stakeholder skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
Bonus points for:
NZ government experience, mergers or consolidations, All-of-Government Common Process Model, Oracle EPM, and familiarity with PRINCE2, MSP, PMBoK and or Agile delivery.
