About the role

We’re looking for an IT Desktop Support Analyst to join our New Zealand team, based in either Wellington or Christchurch. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for IT support who wants to continue building their technical skills in a down-to-earth, friendly and respected function.

You’ll be part of a knowledgeable and supportive IT team, providing level 1 technical support to our offices across Australia and New Zealand. The role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise-level systems, applications and hardware, along with a focus on continual improvement and innovation in IT service delivery.

This is a full-time role working 5 days a week between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm.

What you’ll do:

Triage, prioritise and manage incidents and service requests, escalating matters where required.

Provide day-to-day desktop support to office-based and remote employees across Australia and New Zealand.

Communicate clearly with users, setting expectations and providing timely updates through to resolution.

Assist with the setup, configuration and troubleshooting of laptops, peripherals, printers and audio/video systems.

Support onboarding and induction processes, including preparing new hire laptops and coordinating access requirements.

Assist with BAU ticket management and contribute to meeting service level expectations.

Update knowledge articles and support self-service capability for common IT issues.

Complete ad hoc tasks as requested by management to support smooth and effective IT operations.

What we’re looking for:

Knowledge and understanding of Windows, Microsoft Office, Active Directory and Remote Desktop Services.

Experience with, or a strong interest in, Microsoft cloud platforms including Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint.

Familiarity with video conferencing systems, particularly Microsoft Teams Rooms, would be advantageous.

Strong client support and liaison skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.

Good documentation skills and confidence working with document management systems.

A proactive approach, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

A customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in building a career in IT support.
