IT Support Specialist / Onsite / Grapevine / Dallas - Fort Worth

This is a Contract-to-Hire IT Support Specialist opportunity located in the Dallas–Fort Worth / Grapevine, Texas area supporting a rapidly growing, technology-driven organization focused on building scalable internal systems using modern automation, cybersecurity, and AI-enabled operational tools. This role sits at the intersection of IT support, cybersecurity operations, scripting/automation, and infrastructure monitoring, providing hands-on exposure to technologies such as Python, Bash, APIs, SQL databases, logging/monitoring tools, and security frameworks including NIST and CMMC.

The #1 thing that makes this opportunity stand out is that this is not a traditional help desk role. The team is looking for someone who enjoys digging deeper into systems, building automation, and helping strengthen the organization’s security posture as the company prepares for CMMC Level 2 compliance. This role will work closely with IT leadership and act as a trusted technical partner helping design processes, improve operational efficiency, and implement new technologies. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, learning new tools quickly, and growing into a more advanced security, automation, or infrastructure-focused engineering role over time.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting IT systems with exposure to cybersecurity or security-focused operations
• Scripting or automation experience using Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Experience working with APIs and system integrations
• Familiarity working with SQL databases
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST
• Experience supporting system monitoring, logging, and auditing practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities within technical environments

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working with SIEM platforms or security monitoring tools
• Exposure to CMMC compliance environments or regulatory security initiatives
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation or DevOps practices
• Experience working with AI tools or integrating AI into operational workflows
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or similar
