Job Description

The Koch Internship Program (KIP) is a paid experiential learning program run by Stand Together Fellowships that offers professional development, leadership training, and meaningful work experience at non-profits tackling some of our nation's most pressing policy challenges all over the United States. Early-career professionals including undergraduate/graduate/law students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Eligible candidates will be geographically located in and authorized to work in the United States through the duration of the program. Successful candidates will interview with both our non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff, so we strongly encourage you to begin the admissions process early!

About Engine Foundation

Engine Foundation (Engine) is seeking a Policy Fellow for the Spring of 2027. Engine is a D.C.-based non-profit advocacy organization that works to promote policies that encourage the growth of startup ecosystems. We focus on issues at both the local and federal level that impact startups and their ability to scale nationwide and globally.

These issues include

Access to talent (high skilled immigration and STEM education);

Access to capital (tax and capital formation);

International Trade;

Data security and privacy; and

Strong intermediary liability protections (free speech, sensible copyright policies, reduced regulatory burdens on intermediaries).

We are looking for a KIP participant to help with our policy advocacy and grassroots work in Washington, D.C.

Your work would include engaging and substantive tasks such as:

Coordinate and carryout grassroots startup outreach;

Write articles and blog posts on policy issues;

Help with larger research projects;

Attend events that are relevant to our D.C. outreach; and

Monitor legislative and regulatory developments.

As of this posting, Engine is currently a hybrid work environment and have a strong preference for hybrid/ on-site work.
