Late Shift Customer Service & Data Entry

• This is a genuine late-night role.
• We are looking for someone who is comfortable working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons through to the early hours of the morning.
• Your normal shift will start at 3:30pm and finish between 2:00am and 4:00am, depending on the workload.
• If working late nights and getting home in the early hours is not something that suits your lifestyle, this probably is not the right role for you.
• We are looking for someone who wants a reliable, ongoing role and is committed to turning up consistently for their rostered shifts.

About Chevalier Wholesale Produce

Chevalier Wholesale Produce has been supplying fresh produce for more than 50 years. We supply hotels, restaurants, bars and cafés throughout the North Island.

Our Auckland team is looking for a reliable Customer Service / Administration / Data Entry person to join our late shift.

You will be part of a team covering our weekday operations. You will primarily work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with the opportunity and expectation to help cover additional shifts when other team members are away.

What you'll be doing

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for keeping customer orders and information moving accurately through the business.

Your duties will include

• Answering incoming customer calls, messages and emails.
• Taking and accurately entering customer orders.
• Processing orders and making sure customer requirements are correctly recorded.
• Following established processes and daily procedures.
• Checking information carefully and identifying problems before they become issues.
• Communicating with customers, drivers, warehouse staff and other departments.
• Resolving customer and operational issues quickly and professionally.
• Completing administration and data-entry tasks throughout the shift.

What we're looking for

Reliability is extremely important in this position.

You will need to

• Be genuinely comfortable working until 2:00am–4:00am.
• Be reliable and consistently attend your rostered shifts.
• Have good attention to detail — mistakes with orders can have a significant impact on our customers and operations.
• Be confident speaking with customers on the phone.
• Have clear and professional spoken and written English.
• Be comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office and data-entry systems.
• Be able to work independently and stay productive during a long shift.
• Stay calm and practical when things get busy or unexpected problems arise.
• * Be willing to learn our systems, products and processes.
• Previous customer service, call centre, administration, data-entry or food/produce industry experience is an advantage.
• More importantly, we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good common sense and a genuine commitment to the hours of this position.
