Experienced Live-In Carer, East London

Sathi Care ltd is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider that has served east London for over 8 years. We are looking for a reliable, compassionate female live-in carer to join our team and provide high-quality care to clients in their own homes. We are looking for someone who has Level 3 in Health and Social Care qualification or Care Certificate.

Placement details

Location: East London

Hours/pattern: 8-10 hour Shift patterns

Start date: asap

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance to clients with diverse needs.

Administer medications accurately and follow prescribed care plans to ensure health and safety.

Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and preferences, encouraging healthy eating habits.

Support clients with activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping errands.

Manage behavioral challenges with patience and understanding, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

Maintain detailed records of care provided, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns.

Offer emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment that promotes mental well-being.

Requirements

Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments with a focus on senior or hospice care. Minimum 1-2 years of experience.

Fluent English speaker

Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and behaviour management techniques.

Ability to perform light physical tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for client mobility or household chores.

Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional caregiving certifications are advantageous. Or can be worked towards and fully funded by the employer.

Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately.

Flexibility to work live-in shifts that may include overnight stays; reliable and punctual nature.
