**About the role | Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga**
We are seeking a
**Logistics Coordinator**
to join our team, based
in the Bay of Plenty. In this role, you will support the Logistics Manager in
the day-to-day operation of the Logistics Department, ensuring the efficient
coordination of storeroom, courier, and fleet activities across the
organisation.
You will play a key role in supporting logistics staff,
coordinating daily operations, and ensuring the safe, timely, and compliant
transport of clinical specimens, laboratory materials, and supplies across
Pathlab’s network.
**Key responsibilities**
- Support the Logistics Manager with the
day-to-day coordination of logistics operations.
- Assist with staff leadership, rostering, and
daily task coordination across the logistics team. Working closely with leaders
across sites.
- Oversee storeroom operations, including the
receipting, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Ensure incoming goods are checked, recorded, and
meet required standards.
- Coordinate internal courier services to ensure
timely and reliable transport.
- Maintain communication with external freight
providers and suppliers.
- Assist with fleet management, including vehicle
servicing, WOFs, and maintenance scheduling.
- Maintain accurate inventory and fleet records.
- Support the resolution of day-to-day operational
issues and identify opportunities to improve processes.
**Skills and experience**
- Full, clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence.
- Experience in logistics, inventory/storeroom
operations, courier coordination, fleet management, or a similar operational
environment.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory
experience preferred.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving
skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to
work collaboratively across teams.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
that may involve lifting and moving goods.
