Low Voltage IT Systems Technician / Network Installation Technician

This role involves **installing, configuring, and troubleshooting low-voltage IT systems**, including LAN/Wi-Fi networks, VoIP phones, IP cameras, and access control systems.You will also **perform site surveys, set up networking equipment (Cisco/Aruba), run cabling, and ensure all systems are properly installed and functioning at client locations.**

• **Contract Duration:** 9–12 Months
• **Minimum Relevant Experience:** 3 Years

**Job DescriptionRequired Experience**

• Proposed candidate shall have **3 years of experience installing and configuring low voltage IT systems.**
• Experience in the following areas is **preferred**:
• **Genetec Omnicast Certification**
• **Genetec Synergis Certification**
• **BICSI RCDD Certification**
• At least **1 year of experience in the following technologies:**
• **Genetec Security Center 5.11 or newer**
• **Cisco or HP Enterprise Network Configuration**
• **Cisco and Aruba Local Wireless Controller**
• **Cisco VoIP and CUCM**
• **Valcom IP Public Address**
• **DMP (Digital Monitoring Products)**
• **Good verbal and written communication skills.**

**Key Responsibilities**

• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting:
• Local Area Networks (LAN)
• Wireless networks
• VoIP systems
• IP Public Address / Intercom systems
• IP Video Camera systems
• Configuring a variety of networking equipment.
• Analyzing and solving networking problems.
• Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards.
• Conducting **site surveys and on-site assessments**.
• Preparing **design / Scope of Work (SOW)** for installations.
• Preparing **clear and concise reports and technical documentation**.
• Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively **in writing and verbally**.
• Setting priorities and completing tasks **within defined timelines**.

• Create **Bill of Materials**
• Accept **equipment deliveries at warehouse**
• Create **asset workbooks**
• Generate **status completion emails**
• Rearrange **network equipment**
• Install **power equipment (UPS / Stepdown Transformers)**
• Install and configure:
• Network switches
• Modules
• Cards
• Install and configure **IP converged system equipment**
• Install **Cat6e / Fiber patch cords**
• Troubleshoot **LAN equipment**

Pay: $25.80 - $33.48 per hour
