Job Description
- We are currently seeking one reliable and capable individual to work in our Papanui-based Factory.
- About us:
- Verkerks is a family-owned and Christchurch-based NZ company that has been producing quality salami and smallgoods products for three generations.
- What type of work would you be doing?
- You will be working in a team in our Curing and Production department, performing a range of physically demanding tasks such as weighing and confirming meat inputs to operating our industrial filling lines and bowl choppers.
- What are the hours of work?
- 40 hours a week, generally between the hours of 7.00am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
- What do we offer?
- A starting pay rate of $25.26 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half

- Our ideal candidate is:
- Physically fit and strong, able to lift between 10 – 25kg on a regular basis
- A confident person who is able to cope under pressure
- Used to working in a cold environment (around 6 degrees)
- Reliable and organised, always turning up to work on time
