DairyNZ’s story

Deliver a positive future for New Zealand dairy farming

Te whakaputa i te anamata kounga mō ngā pāmu kau o Aotearoa

We are full of people who have a passion for delivering great outcomes and creating positive change. We leverage our collective strength by bringing the dairy sector together, helping farmers build more sustainable, profitable, and resilient farm businesses; because a strong dairy sector means a strong New Zealand.

Your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how Dairy Training connects with learners and the wider sector. Reporting to the Farmer Communications & Marketing Manager, you will lead both the strategy and implementation of marketing and communications activity that builds brand awareness, grows course enrolments, and supports Dairy Training's growth ambitions.

You will take ownership of multi-channel campaigns from end to end, combining strong strategic thinking with excellent execution. You will guide the roll-out and evolution of the Dairy Training brand, create compelling content and use performance data to continually improve results. Success will rely on your confidence to influence, advise and collaborate across Dairy Training, DairyNZ and external partners, while balancing complexity and competing priorities.

In this role, you will

Shape and deliver marketing strategies that grow awareness, drive enrolments, and deliver measurable results.

Create and execute high-impact campaigns across digital, social, email, print and paid channels.

Champion the Dairy Training brand, leading its evolution and ensuring every learner touchpoint reflects who we are.

Drive our digital presence through engaging website content, effective email marketing, and targeted Meta and Google campaigns.

Turn data and insights into action, continuously optimising performance and uncovering new growth opportunities.

Influence, partner and collaborate across Dairy Training, DairyNZ and external agencies to deliver aligned, audience-focused communications.

About you

You are a seasoned marketing and communications specialist who can move comfortably between strategy and delivery. You bring sound judgement, creative thinking and the confidence to manage stakeholders and influence on the best approach. You know how to turn complex information into clear, audience-focused stories and how to use data to make practical improvements.

Collaborative and pragmatic, you build trust quickly and bring tact and diplomacy to challenging conversations. You are equally comfortable working independently, partnering across teams and managing several priorities at once without losing attention to detail.

We’d love to hear from you if you have

Deep marketing and communications experience, with proven success across brand, digital, strategy and integrated campaigns.

A track record of delivering campaigns that don't just look good, but deliver measurable business results.

Exceptional storytelling and content creation skills, with the ability to tailor messages that connect with different audiences.

Strong visual design capability, with confidence using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite to create engaging content.

Hands-on experience across websites, email marketing, social media and paid digital channels.

Experience leading or contributing to brand evolution, refreshes or rebranding initiatives.

The ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and juggle multiple priorities with ease.

Exposure to the dairy sector, vocational education, or another complex, multi-stakeholder environment would be a bonus.
