MECHANICAL FITTER WELDER

About the role

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving real mechanical challenges, and isn't afraid to get stuck in. As a Fitter Welder, you'll be tackling complex service work across both the Bulk Handling and Timber Processing industries, on mobile and static plant used across demanding industrial sites. You'll weld, fit, fabricate, troubleshoot, commission, diagnose, repair, and support equipment that keeps customers running. Every day will look different, and you'll need resilience, initiative, and the confidence to work both independently and alongside a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

Carry out workshop and on‑site repairs on mobile and static equipment

Perform hands on troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving

Deliver technical support and on‑site training to customers

Assist with installation, commissioning, upgrades, and project work

Develop and maintain accurate service documentation

Complete all paperwork professionally and on time

Communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams

Drive high standards of health & safety on every site

Build strong, trust‑based customer relationships

Identify opportunities for future work and service improvements

About you

Not afraid of hard work

Comfortable working at heights, around heavy machinery, and on challenging industrial sites

Practical, tough, and mechanically sharp

Self‑motivated with strong initiative

Willing to adapt quickly in fast-moving environments
