Job Description
To support a global retail organization, the part-time to full-time Minnesota Licensed Customs Attorney will provide strategic legal guidance on U.S. customs and trade regulatory matters, focusing on tariffs, trade remedies, and duty optimization strategies in a fully remote engagement.
##### Key responsibilities
Provide legal advice on customs and international trade law, including tariffs and duty mitigation strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence key business decisions and navigate operational risks
Manage regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations while serving as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders
##### Required qualifications
7+ years of experience in customs and international trade law
Strong knowledge of classification, valuation, and free trade agreements
Experience advising on antidumping and countervailing duties
J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Customs Broker License strongly preferred
