As an intern, you will gain exposure to semiconductor manufacturing environments while developing foundational technical skills. This role provides hands‑on learning opportunities, allowing you to contribute to real engineering projects, collaborate with experienced teams, and explore potential career paths within the company.
**Responsibilities**
- **Contributes to module process development** , including process‑integration flows and equipment configuration for manufacturing modules.
- **Supports yield‑improvement initiatives** by analyzing defect data, conducting experiments, and assisting with risk assessments.
- **Collaborates with engineering teams** to optimize metrology strategies and troubleshoot process‑flow issues.
- **Participates in continuous‑improvement efforts** within high‑volume manufacturing environments.
- **Develops technical and professional skills** through hands‑on experience and project work supporting Intel’s business goals in a collaborative environment.
**This internship requires working part‑time during the academic year and transitioning to full‑time hours during the summer.**

Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Candidate must be pursuing a Master’s or Phd degree** in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Optics, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- **3+ months of manufacturing or semiconductor experience** , such as coursework, labs, internships, or engineering projects.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Hands-on experience in semiconductor engineering, manufacturing, or development.
- Insight into substrate manufacturing that sets you apart.
- A passion for programming, particularly Python.
- Experience in the realms of photonics, optoelectronics, optical transceiver components, semiconductor or device physics.
Acumen for failure analysis techniques.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $72,900.00-134,800.00 USD
