Job Description

Deliver interventions that promote safety, independence and quality of life.
Prescribe, provide and monitor disability equipment and adaptations safely.
Promote assistive technology and digital tools, such as AskSARA, to reduce reliance on formal care.
Apply manual handling legislation, training and best practice to all relevant interventions.
Work collaboratively with carers and professionals across health, housing, social care and voluntary organisations.
Contribute to multidisciplinary assessments, treatment planning, care pathways and safe transfers or discharges.
Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date clinical records.
Participate in supervision, appraisals, peer review and continuing professional development.
Provide supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants where appropriate.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement and cost-effective care.
