About the Role: This role plays a critical part in the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll for a diverse workforce. You’ll manage the end-to-end payroll process, respond to staff queries, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurate, end-to-end payroll processing for a medium-sized organisation

Ensure timely approval of timesheets in collaboration with team leaders

Managing payroll related legislation queries

Maintain employee records, including new starters, terminations, and changes

Manage and report on annual, sick, and other leave balances

Respond to payroll-related queries with professionalism and discretion

Processing Payroll Journals

Back up support to the finance team

What You’ll Bring:

Proven payroll experience in New Zealand with existing working rights

Strong understanding of NZ employment and payroll legislations

Confident working with payroll systems and Excel

Ability to manage time and meet deadlines independently

Ideally, experience in working with large Payroll system such as PayGlobal or Datapay
