Physiotherapist

About the role

A musculoskeletal physiotherapist role in Ohakune, a small town at the foot of Mt Ruapehu in the central North Island. You will work with an established, ready-to-go client base including skiers, trampers, mountain bikers, farmers and locals. The role offers professional autonomy as the strong MSK physio in town, working alongside a massage therapist and winter osteopath, with supportive scheduling and room to shape the practice around the way you want to work.

Key responsibilities

Provide musculoskeletal assessment and treatment across a broad MSK caseload, including sports injuries, ACC claims, and chronic pain

Work with an established, active and motivated patient base

Collaborate with allied health colleagues including an osteopath and massage therapist

Build and maintain long-term relationships with an engaged, active patient community

Work with a good degree of independence as the primary physiotherapist in the town

About you

NZ-registered physiotherapist with strong musculoskeletal assessment and treatment skills

Clinically confident across a broad MSK caseload, including sports injuries, ACC claims, pre and post surgery and chronic pain

Comfortable working with a good degree of independence

Collaborative approach to working alongside allied health colleagues

Excellent communication skills and genuine enjoyment of building long-term relationships with patients
