About the role
You will be a valued member of Ropata's large primary health practice, working alongside nursing, medical and administration teams to help deliver safe, efficient and patient-centred care to a diverse patient population.
Key responsibilities
Completing observations such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight
Performing ECGs and other clinical procedures within your training and delegated scope
Supporting cardiovascular risk assessments and long-term condition reviews
Setting up for minor surgical procedures, tracking and sterilising equipment
Assisting with infection prevention, cleaning and stock management
Accurately recording information in the patient management system
Promoting screening, immunisation and preventive healthcare programmes
Providing culturally safe, respectful care to every patient and whānau
About you
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A professional, respectful and patient-focused approach
Confidence using computer systems and maintaining accurate documentation
An understanding of confidentiality, privacy and professional boundaries
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity and culturally safe practice
Flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills
Experience in primary care and familiarity with Medtech Evolution would be an advantage, but training can be provided to the right applicant
