Procurement Officer

Our Client, Laventor Limited T/A Daniel P Buckley Wool Merchants, based at 4 Joyce House, Barrack Square, Ballincollig, Cork, P31 HW35, is hiring 2 experienced Procurement Officer for their operations located at Hegarty Street, Milstreet, Co. Cork, P51CY61.

You’ll be responsible for-

• Responsible for sourcing and purchasing wool, negotiating prices and terms, and ensuring quality, quantity and timely delivery.
• Monitor wool markets, supplier performance, stock levels and customer requirements to support effective purchasing decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with wool suppliers, brokers and producers and resolve supply or quality issues.
• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or the wool/textile industry is preferred, with strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Commercially aware, analytical and confident using Excel and purchasing systems, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• This is a full-time position offering 39 hours per week with an annual salary of €36,605.
