Production Manager

Southern Lakes Laundries is seeking a people-focused Floor Manager to lead our busy commercial laundry operation in Queenstown.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production, managing a large workforce, and ensuring high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and customer service are consistently achieved.

You will lead a team of Supervisors, oversee approximately 40 employees on site each day, and support the performance and development of a workforce of around 100 employees across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day production activities, ensuring workflows run efficiently and targets are achieved.
• Lead, coach, and support a team of Supervisors and production staff.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture across the site.
• Manage staffing, rostering, training, and performance.
• Monitor production KPIs and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Work closely with Maintenance, Transport, and Operations teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture.

About You

Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills.

Highly organised with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities.

Experience managing staffing, productivity, and operational performance.

Manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, tourism, warehousing, or production experience is an advantage.

Laundry experience is not required. We can teach you the operation.

Work Environment

The laundry operates 7 days per week, with this role generally working Monday to Friday.
