Major Activities Drive a safety-first culture, promoting safe workpractices and actively identifying and addressingrisks.Ensure Safety is the first priority in daily operations tokeep our team safe and healthy.Identify problems that create risk and may flow on toquality and productivity.Demonstrate/document effective risk management as aresponsible employer. Lead daily operations across Fabrication, Coatingand Assembly teams. Manage the team, Facilityand Assets.Ensure production goals can be met to satisfy customerdue dates and sales growth.Ensure efficient manufacture of product to standard timeswithout minimal downtime and rework.Identify opportunities to improve manufacturingprocesses. Manage quality, uptime, and flow across allproduction areas through effective training,process controls and QC checks.Instill team pride in what we build, impress the customerwith our build quality and finish.Ensure products are manufactured consistently and tospecification.Ensure team members are empowered to highlightquality issues, prevent them moving through the processand to help find the root cause. Identify actions and carrythem out.Ensure new staff can be brought up to speed quickly toadd value. Actively identify production issues and resolvethese to achieve production targets.Ensure we meet monthly build targets to limit the impacton our customers through defects, delays and productperformance issues.Create a world class production facility that identifiesopportunities, addresses risks and implementscountermeasures. Manage system processes and documentation toensure timely processing.Allow effective tracking of key business information.Ensure product is correctly costed and inventory isaccounted for in a timely manner.Ensure quality documentation is stored correctly forfuture reference.PD US Production Manager4. MAJOR CHALLENGES Leading a team across a number of different disciplines to achieve key outcomes. Meeting production and customer service performance measures consistently under growing and seasonalwork load variations. Having a deep understanding of manufacturing procedures and their impact on safety and quality. Maintaining a high level of communication and professionalism with members of the Trimax family. Implementing improvements where new product and engineering workloads are high.5. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITYa) Major decisions able to be made within your delegated authorities. Assigning/Re-deploying resources to achieve planned outcomes (people, inventory, plant). Identifying and implementing improvements within your delegated authority. Recruiting and selecting staff for approved roles.b) Major actions and decisions which are recommended to a higher level of management forapproval. Adding to staff levels or commencing formal discipline of staff. Altering manufacturing procedures/standards or policies. Expenditure outside the delegated authority.6. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years in a production leadership role (manufacturing or similar). Experience in mild steel fabrication and mechanical assembly, or similar fields. Demonstrated leadership in safety, quality, and team performance. Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing principles. Capable with ERP systems and data. Ability to carry out tasks in the facility - including lifting, maneuvering equipment and parts from time to time.
