About the role
Milford Sound Tourism Ltd is looking for an organised, capable and proactive Project Coordinator to join our Te Anau based team.
This is a varied role supporting the planning, coordination, tracking and reporting of maintenance and infrastructure projects across Te Anau, Piopiotahi, Milford Sound and Te Haukaue, Knobs Flat.
This role is based in our central CBD office and offers flexible working hours to help you balance work and life.

About the role
You will help ensure our project portfolio is well planned, accurately recorded and clearly reported. Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining project registers, programmes, dashboards and action lists
Tracking project budgets, commitments, forecasts, risks and changes
Preparing project reports, business cases and governance documents
Coordinating project documentation, procurement and contractor information
Supporting contract administration, including claims, variations and completion records
Assisting with maintenance planning and MEX workflow reporting
Tracking consent conditions, statutory approvals and compliance requirements
Supporting project health and safety coordination
Following up with internal teams, contractors and consultants to keep information and actions moving
This role coordinates and prepares information for review and approval. It does not hold financial or project approval authority.
What you’ll bring
Two to five years’ experience in project coordination, contract administration, construction support, asset management or a related role
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and follow-through
Experience tracking programmes, costs, risks, actions and project documentation
Clear and professional written and verbal communication
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft application skills and confidence learning new systems
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and follow up information proactively
A full New Zealand driver licence
A qualification in engineering, project management, business administration or a relevant trade is desirable, but not essential
Experience with MEX or another maintenance management system, construction contracts, consent tracking, health and safety or asset management would be an advantage
The role is based in Te Anau, with travel to Piopiotahi, Milford Sound and Te Haukaue, Knobs Flat as required
