Project Manager

This market-leading consultancy has a rare opportunity for a strong Intermediate Project Manager to join their Auckland team.

This prestigious firm brings together project management, development management and surveying specialists and are recognised leaders across retail, commercial office, industrial and hotel & leisure sectors. Their portfolio includes award-winning national and international projects, with a strong pipeline of repeat work from long-standing clients.

This role is suited to a capable Intermediate Project Manager who has experience in the consultancy or client-side construction project delivery within NZ. You will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end from design concept through to construction delivery and final handover, while acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders.

The Role

• Lead projects from inception through to completion and handover
• Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact
• Oversee procurement strategy and programme development
• Coordinate consultants and contractors through design and delivery phases
• Manage budgets, cost control, risk and reporting
• Run project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
• Drive programme outcomes and proactively manage issues to resolution
• This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to operate with autonomy, while still having the backing of experienced senior leaders.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–7+ years’ project management experience in New Zealand
• Consultancy or client-side experience required
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects end-to-end
• Confident stakeholder and client management capability
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and project lifecycle
• Ability to manage budgets, programmes and risk independently
• NZ3910 contract administration experience and understanding
• Preferably a relevant qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction or Architecture
