Job Description
Supporting the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) program for the CDC, the full-time Public Health Analyst will conduct epidemiological analysis, manage data quality initiatives, and provide user outreach and technical assistance related to healthcare-associated infections (HAI).
##### Key responsibilities
Develop computer programs using SAS/R to monitor data quality and assist in NHSN data cleaning projects
Prepare and present educational trainings about NHSN to various professional organizations and governmental bodies
Analyze data for reports and publications while providing analytic support to multi-disciplinary teams to achieve public health research goals
##### Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Public Health, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience
Proficiency in R and/or SAS, with experience supporting public health surveillance and healthcare data analytics initiatives
Experience in analyzing, validating, and interpreting large public health or healthcare datasets
