We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Health Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in conducting clinical research, analysing health data, and supporting public health initiatives. The role involves working with various statistical software and programming languages to interpret complex datasets, ensuring evidence-based strategies are developed and executed effectively.
**Responsibilities**
- Design, coordinate, and oversee clinical research projects related to public health issues.
- Collect, manage, and analyse health data using statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, SAS, or R.
- Develop and maintain databases using SQL to facilitate efficient data retrieval and management.
- Utilise programming skills in R and Python for advanced data analysis and modelling.
- Interpret research findings to inform public health policies and programmes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and visualisations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including epidemiologists, statisticians, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements during research activities.
**Requirements**
- Proven experience in clinical research within a public health setting.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in statistical software such as Stata, SPSS, SAS, or R.
- Competence in programming languages including R and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with SQL for database management.
- Knowledge of public health principles, epidemiology, and healthcare systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
