Quality Officer

ALPHA LABORATORIES (NZ) LTD is a leading nutraceutical manufacturer in New Zealand.

We are seeking a highly accountable Quality Officer to assure compliance, uphold rigorous quality systems, and drive continuous improvement in a high-throughput manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced quality practitioner with medium to high level of foundational knowledge in quality management and compliance system in pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities

Batch Assessment and Releasing: Conduct routine material and product batch assessment and releasing, COA generation and associated paperwork.

Operational Verification: conduct reality checking inside the Production processing area and supporting areas to ensure the standard operating procedures are being followed.

Supplier Approval and Qualification: perform assessment on supplier documentation to provide approval and qualification of suppliers based on the material quality, supplier’s accreditation and quality system.

Import and Export: assist in OMAR inspection, load-in and load out checks of animal products.

Quality Management System: assist in the quality management system including but not limited to deviation, non-conformance management, change control, rejection/return of goods, ensuring standard operating procedures align with current regulatory and operational standards.

Qualifications & Required Experience

Education: Tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Science, Pharmacology or equivalent.

Regulatory Expertise and Manufacturing Background: hands-on experience navigating regulatory frameworks including RMP, OMAR, HACCP, FCP, and cGMP within a high-standard pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is an advantage.
