Ranch Hand

Duties may include: Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies, herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures, and assist with calving duties. Worker may examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain and provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to move equipment. Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences, & other related Ranch Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org)

Possible weekend/holiday work

Requirements: 3 months of experience. Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.

Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50 lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Workers assigned driving duties must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. Driver's License as required by law to operate employer-provided vehicles. Driving duties will be assigned only to workers who are legally authorized and qualified to operate the applicable vehicle.
