Refrigeration Technician

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with large-scale cooling systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers/freezers, display cases, and rack systems

Diagnose faults and perform repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and control systems

Monitor system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and temperature control

Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan

Handle refrigerants in compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints

Maintain accurate service logs, work orders, and compliance documentation

Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures promptly

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role

Technical certification or diploma in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field

Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and components

Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and resolve issues efficiently

Familiarity with safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with supermarket rack refrigeration systems and large-scale installations

Certification in refrigerant handling (EPA or equivalent/local certification)

Basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills

Experience with energy management systems and controls
