Registered Nurse -including Nocte

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team at Kamo Home and Village Charitable Trust in Whangārei, Northland.

We currently have a permanent nocte position available, with a minimum contracted 24 hours per week. We would also be interested in hearing from Registered Nurses seeking other part-time or casual opportunities.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents within a supportive, caring, and nurturing environment.

What you'll be doing

Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care for residents

Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals

Monitoring residents' health and well-being, and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel

Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation

Providing emotional support and comfort to residents and their families

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate

Minimum of 2 years' experience in an aged care or similar setting

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of aged care nursing practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Proficient in using medical software and documentation systems
