About the Role
We're looking for an energetic and inspiring leader to join our Distribution Reactive team, where no two days are the same. In this pivotal role, you'll lead operations across our Reactive Depots based in Unity Drive North- Albany, Silverdale, Warkworth and Henderson, driving the successful delivery of critical network response and infrastructure work that keeps communities connected and the power flowing.
You'll be at the heart of the action, providing leadership to skilled field crews, delivering expert technical support on-site, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Beyond project delivery, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of our workforce by coaching, mentoring, training and developing our people, building capability, promoting compliance, and fostering a high-performing culture where teams can thrive.

The successful candidates will work on key responsibilities like
• Support the Senior Contract Manager in leading teams and managing plant, equipment, and vehicle fleets.
• Deliver training, coaching, and competency development to build capability and maintain compliance.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination, operational activities, and the inspection, testing, and sign-off of network assets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop field teams, promoting a high-performing, safety-focused culture.
• Ensure compliance with customer contracts, company standards, regulatory requirements, and quality documentation processes.
• Support contract planning, tender opportunities, and the delivery of commercially successful outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through safe, efficient, and cost-effective work practices.
• Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality standards through regular engagement and auditing activities.
• Participate in the standby roster to support network operations and fault response activities.
Qualifications and Skills
• A trade qualification as an electrician for underground, and line mechanic for overhead work.
• Excellent hands-on experience in overhead lines and underground cable installation and maintenance on the distribution network.
• A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements.
• Good computer ability in Microsoft applications.
• Able to write brief reports.
