Risk and control analyst
Job Description
**Must Have Technical/Functional Skills**
Issue and Remediation Management
- Maintain and update open issues within JIRA and Archer GRC systems
o Track remediation plans, milestones, and target dates
o Engage issue owners to determine progress and validate status updates
o Provide effective challenge where progress updates are unsupported, inconsistent, or illogical
o Escalate risks related to overdue remediation or ineffective action plans
Governance and Reporting
o Assist in preparing materials and status summaries for reporting
o Produce issue dashboards and remediation trend analysis
Control Assessments and Testing
o Support technical control assessments across cloud, digital, and on premises environments
o Assist with design and operating effectiveness testing
o Review evidence for completeness, accuracy, and alignment to control intent
Technical and Domain Coverage
o Nice to have
o AWS cloud environments
o DevSecOps pipelines and CICD processes
o API security and gateway controls
Salesforce platforms
Mobile banking and web digital banking platforms
o Technology risk domains including SDLC, change management, vulnerability management, and incident management
Roles & Responsibilities
Skills and Experience
o Project Management
o Experience with Archer or similar GRC platforms
o Experience using JIRA
- Understanding risk and control frameworks such a NIST, ISO, FRIEC, SCF
- Knowledge of technology risk and cloud control best practices
Experience in banking or financial services preferred Core Competencies
o Written and verbal communication
o Attention to detail and documentation discipline
o Ability to bridge technical and governance perspective
