A bit about the role…
We’re looking for a confident and reliable Profit Protection / Security Team Member to join our team at Mitre 10 MEGA Upper Hutt in a Fixed Term capacity.
This is an important role focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for both customers and team members. You’ll help minimise loss and protect company assets, while maintaining a visible and professional presence on the shop floor.
Your responsibilities will include
Monitoring store activity to prevent theft and damage
Maintaining a strong and visible security presence
Supporting loss prevention initiatives and reducing shrinkage
Monitoring CCTV and security systems
Providing excellent customer service while maintaining store security
Helping maintain a safe and secure store environment
What we’re looking for…
We’re seeking someone who is observant, professional, and confident in their approach. Ideally, you’ll bring:
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
A calm, confident, and professional manner
The ability to think quickly and respond appropriately
Experience using CCTV or monitoring equipment (preferred)
Basic computer skills
A good level of fitness, as the role requires standing and walking for extended periods
A good understanding of Health & Safety practices
Strong integrity and reliability
Role details:
Part Time position
Roster: Sunday and Monday (16 Hours a week)
* Must be available throughout December 2026 and January 2027
