****SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements:****
- **Experience:** 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
- **Subjects:** Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
- **Qualifications:** Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
- **Compliance:** Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
- **Location:** You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
- **Safeguarding:** Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
****The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities:****
- Provide **in person**, **online / remote**, and **hybrid****Maths, English, or Science tuition** to children, teenagers, and young people with **SEMH** and **SEND needs**, including **MLD**, **SLD**, **PMLD**, and other **Additional Educational Needs**
- Support pupils and students, ranging from **KS1 - KS5** (as appropriate for your skills), referred by **local authorities** and **schools** by planning and delivering flexible, **trauma-informed tutoring** and **mentoring**
- Plan and **report for lessons** and provide regular **feedback on student progress**
- We are on a **mission** to raise the **standard of education** provided to **young people with SEND** (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as **SEMH needs** (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with **MLD** (Moderate Learning Difficulties), **SLD** (Severe Learning Difficulties), and **PMLD** (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
