Love solving problems with data? As a Senior Analyst (Data), you'll use your analytical skills and curiosity to uncover insights, solve complex business problems and influence better outcomes for customers and the bank.

You'll work with stakeholders across Banking Products, turning data into clear recommendations while supporting improvements to products, controls and processes.

It's an opportunity to make a tangible impact while continuing to grow your data and analytics capability within an experienced and supportive team.

Role Type: 12 Month Secondment/fixed term, full time

Role Location: ANZ Corporate Sites (Auckland/Wellington)

As a Senior Analyst, your day-to-day will include

• Turning complex questions into clear analytical problems, defining the data, measures and evidence needed to find the right answers.
• Analysing data from multiple sources to uncover trends, anomalies and root causes, and translating findings into meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand their needs, shape analytical requirements and help them understand the implications of your findings.
• Supporting product and control decision-making, including assessing how changes to products, pricing, processes or systems could impact customers, reporting and controls.
• Driving better ways of working by improving reporting speed and accuracy, developing reusable analytical solutions and supporting initiatives across pricing, packages, rewards and loyalty.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to tackle complex problems and turn findings into meaningful insights.

Confidence working with ambiguity, with the ability to take broad business questions and shape them into clear, structured analytical approaches.

Strong stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence decisions and make complex data easy to understand.

Banking or financial services knowledge, with an understanding of products, processes, customer outcomes and the broader commercial and risk environment.

A curious and detail-focused mindset, with a passion for digging deeper, solving problems and continuously finding better ways of working.

* Experience with analytical tools and technology, with Excel capability and exposure to tools such as SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI or Python being advantageous.
