Job Description
### **Minimum qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in Software Development.
- 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing industry-scale ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture and testing/launching software products.
- 2 years of experience with state-of-the-art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal) and building/scaling agentic systems (e.g., reasoning loops like ReAct, tool-use orchestration, and autonomous workflow design).
### **Preferred qualifications:**
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience developing state-of-the-art agentic systems, including multi-agent architectures, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, and robust benchmarking for agentic reliability and safety (e.g., AgentBench, CLEAR).
- 3 years of experience working in a complex organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

In this role, you will help revolutionize how billions of users interact with their most critical information within Google Workspace. You will be at the heart of the AI transformation for Google Workspace, building the intelligent layer that understands and acts upon user needs across Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Chat, and beyond.
You will architect the cross-workspace Agentic workflows that will define the future of work for billions of users. You will pioneer the Agentic stack, including the development of core interaction protocols, modular capabilities, and autonomous agent systems. Additionally, you will leverage your expertise in end-to-end orchestration and systemic architecture to develop robust infrastructure that powers sophisticated workflows for our customers.
AI will change the future of work in profound ways, and our products— Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids and Meet are at the forefront. From pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings, and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$365,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. **Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
- Drive technical project strategy, lead large-scale ML infrastructure optimization, and oversee the design and implementation of state-of-the-art GenAI solutions.
