Silicon Photonics Design Engineer

Function as an individual contributor during all project phases, including silicon photonics device design, simulation, layout, and test as well as system-level verification of Silicon Photonics-based data communication products. Work with design and layout engineers to develop integrated photonic circuits. Run a variety of simulation tools, including Cadence Virtuoso design environment. Work with process engineers to define and optimize the device structures and processes. Work closely with test-engineering teams and or directly perform characterization of high-speed devices in the lab. Work with validation and quality engineers to create test and qualification plans. Work closely with photonic IC, packaging, and system architects to validate device performance.
