You will play an important role in maintaining our farm facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to keep our operations running smoothly.

The successful applicant will be mechanically minded, enjoy problem-solving, and be willing to get involved in all aspects of maintenance. Formal trade qualifications are welcomed but not essential if you can demonstrate strong practical skills and experience.

Hours are predominantly Monday to Friday, averaging 40-45 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned maintenance activities
  • Respond to breakdowns and maintenance issues in a timely manner to minimise operational disruption
  • Undertake preventative maintenance tasks
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on pumps, motors, fans, water systems, buildings, and general site infrastructure
  • Assist with projects, installations, and facility improvements
  • Support contractors and external service providers as required
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure maintenance systems are kept up to date
  • Follow all health, safety, biosecurity, and environmental requirements
  • Assist with general maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities and livestock are well cared for
  • What’s in it for you?

  • A paid day off on your birthday
  • Health Insurance after 3 months of service
  • Life and trauma insurance from Day 1
  • KiwiSaver at 4%
  • Training and development opportunities
  • A supportive team culture with regular BBQs and team events
  • Variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real contribution to the success of our operation

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience in maintenance, trades, manufacturing, production or a similar practical role

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn

Good communication and people skills

A full New Zealand driver's licence

Please note: Given the high bio-security element of our working environment, there will be a requirement to have a minimum of 3 full showers each working day. Part of the selection process for these positions includes a police check, full medical and drug test and a home verification check (for biosecurity reasons).
