The ideal candidates will have:-

A HETAC Accredited Diploma/Degree in Social Care or a qualification in Nursing (RNID) or a candidate must be eligible for registration under the standards of proficiency for CORU registration (www.coru.ie/social care workers)

Experience in managing behaviour which challenges.

Experience with adults/children with intellectual disabilities.

The ability to work on his/her own initiative and supervise service users/staff in a residential setting.

Full Driver's Licence (Desirable)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver daily personal care and support service users with daily living, social, and life skills.
• Assist service users with budgeting, finances, and household tasks, encouraging participation.
• Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate records.
• Facilitate leisure and community activities tailored to residents’ needs.
• Ensure health, safety, and emergency procedures are followed.
• Support, develop, and supervise staff under the direction of the Person in Charge.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Uphold the Foundation’s policies, procedures, and commitment to confidentiality and advocacy.
