**Job Title: Sr. Power BI Developer**

**Location:** **On-Site (Juno Beach, FL)**

**Only W2 - USA Citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card holders)**

**Position Type: Contract**

**Position Summary**

The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade analytical solutions using Power BI. This role leads data modeling, DAX development, visual design, and performance optimization for complex datasets. The Senior Developer partners with business stakeholders, data science teams, and junior developers to deliver scalable, secure, and intuitive reporting solutions that drive decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Power BI Development & Architecture**

• Design and build scalable, optimized Power BI semantic models (star schema, fact/dim design).
• Develop advanced DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and time-intelligence logic.
• Create complex interactive dashboards, paginated reports, and embedded analytics, including bookmarks, tooltips, navigation elements, and parameters.
• Implement and maintain row-level security (RLS).
• Optimize semantic model performance through proper modeling, measures & calculated columns, and query folding.

**Data Engineering & Integration**

• Validate data quality, accuracy, lineage, and reconciliation against source systems.
• Support Direct Query, Import, Hybrid Tables, and Composite models.

**Leadership & Collaboration**

• Mentor junior Power BI developers in best practices and technical skills.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into analytics solutions, and drive adoption.
• Lead code reviews and presentations to stakeholders.

**Qualifications**

**Required:**

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise Power BI solutions.
• Expert-level DAX and data modeling skills.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, relational databases, and ETL concepts.
• Experience with UX/UI design best practices.
• Strong performance optimization experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.

**Preferred**

• Experience with Azure technologies (ADLS, ADF, Databricks, Azure SQL, Synapse, Fabric).
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis or predictive analytics.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and set technical direction.
