Serving as Miter's internal payroll tax expert, the full-time Tax Operations Specialist will manage complex tax situations, oversee reactive support tickets, and drive proactive tax setup reviews while working remotely.

##### Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal tax expert, staying current on policies, product changes, and filing rules
• Own reactive tax support tickets, addressing issues such as tax notices and W-2 problems
• Drive proactive tax setup reviews for high-risk customers during onboarding and year-end processes

##### Required qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll tax experience at a payroll provider, payroll SaaS, or PEO
• Direct experience managing agency notices from start to finish
• Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of payroll systems like Check or ADP
• Deep understanding of agency processes and filing requirements across jurisdictions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong judgment
