Job Description
King's College is an independent Anglican co-educational boarding and day school for Years 9-13 (girls from Year 11). The Board, Senior Leadership Team and teachers are fully committed to academic excellence and fostering students of outstanding character. Our College provides the best all-round education possible to its students, requiring teachers to participate in co-curricular activities and mentoring.
Job Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in English (Bachelor's or higher)
Teaching Diploma and Registration
Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand
Ability and experience teaching both NCEA and CIE
Support for the College’s pastoral care and ethos
Involvement in co-curricular activities
Collaborative and positive attitude
The College has a strong focus on student and teacher wellbeing with broad and active pastoral care initiatives where respect for student voice is critical.

Expected Outcomes:
Curriculum is covered with time left for revision
Work is assessed and returned promptly to students
Curriculum and assessment deadlines are met in accordance with the criteria set down by the Academic Committee
Best teaching practice is applied with flexibility to adapt to changes in the curriculum
Course requirements are met
Student records are accurately kept
Department meetings are attended and good relationships established with other staff members
Achievement standards are implemented in accordance with CIE/NCEA guidelines
Appropriate technology and resources are used in the classroom
* Professional development courses are attended as requested or identified during Performance Review
Salary Range
Based on experience, from $65,000-$110,000
