About the Role

We're looking for a Tradesperson to join our team in Christchurch. You'll work within our HV&I group, with a main focus on workshop tasks and the opportunity to support field work when required. It's a varied, hands-on role where you'll help keep equipment and materials ready for our team.

You'll be involved in:

Completing a range of workshop tasks to support the HV&I team.

Assisting with mechanical manufacture, fabrication and assembly work.

Supporting scheduled and emergency field work when required.

Working to Orion technical requirements and Connetics standards.

Ensuring equipment and documentation are available when needed.

Supporting other HV&I team members and sharing technical knowledge.

About You

You're practical, hands-on and enjoy working as part of a team. You take pride in doing a good job, work safely and are happy to help where needed.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

A current driver's licence.

Experience in a hands-on trades or workshop environment.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

A practical approach to problem-solving and a willingness to pitch in.

The ability to build effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.

Experience in mechanical manufacture, fabrication or assembly work would be an advantage. A current Orion EAC would also be desirable.

$34.46 per hour, plus overtime and allowances.
