This team is responsible for the Tesla Used Cars business focused on the intake, refurbishment, and resale of all used Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles. The right person is hungry to dive into critical challenges across the Used Car Refurbishment operation, breaking down silos and partnering closely with cross-functional teams across Tesla to drive the business forward.
Tesla is seeking a Used Retail Inventory Operations Specialist focused on vehicle refurbishment operations to join our North America Used Cars team in Hayward, California. This team is responsible for Tesla’s Used Vehicle business with a focus on the intake, refurbishment, and resale of all used Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles. We are a team that constantly challenges the status quo to revolutionize the trade-in and used vehicle purchase experience.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally between internal Tesla teams (Used Cars, Collision & Service, Delivery, Logistics, Supply Chain) and 3rd-party vendors to ensure timely transportation and completion of the used car refurbishment process for vehicles in Tesla’s Used Vehicle program. The Used Retail Inventory Operations Specialist is based onsite at a Refurbishment location.
What You'll Do
Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics moves for used vehicles in your assigned region, including Service repairs as necessary
Ensure inspection documentation and repair orders meet standards set by internal teams
Compile and present reporting on business performance for leadership evaluation
Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely completion of repairs for used vehicles
Support efforts to reduce refurbishment costs and timelines for used vehicles
Create resources for Refurbishment teams on used vehicle reconditioning standards
Provide sales team support for customer inquiries, sourcing and delivering effective resolutions
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, 2+ years of experience in vehicle refurbishment, logistics, or similar relevant industries
Experience and understanding of mechanical and cosmetic vehicle damage
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines, with strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication
Flexibility to travel in and out of the assigned region as needed and work evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule
Valid driver’s license required
Proficiency across multiple computer systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Expected Compensation
$18.40 - $57.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
