Volunteer Barista Social Impact Café
Job Description
Position: Volunteer Barista for a Social Impact Café
Overview
The Message Trust is a worldwide movement with a passion to share Jesus Christ with the hardest to reach people. Through the work of The Message, hundreds of men and women in prisons and youth offender institutions have found new life in Jesus. In 2020 we opened Neal Street Espresso, providing jobs for individuals we have been working with in London prisons.
The coffee shop gives people the chance to overcome the cycles of reoffending and continue to transform their lives.
Volunteering
We are looking for a range of volunteers who are passionate about the vision of our London coffee shop and are excited about working alongside and supporting our ex-offender team members. Whatever your skills and talents, we would love you to join our team.
Whats involved?
- We ask that you commit to volunteering a minimum of two half days a month.
- You’ll work alongside our friendly and welcoming team, greeting customers, taking orders, clearing tables, washing up, and we will (when time allows) give you training on the coffee machine.
