Water Reticulation Technician - Taupō

About the Role

As a Water Reticulation Technician at Camex Civil, you'll be part of a specialised team delivering and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater networks for local body infrastructure, commercial construction and subdivisions. It's a varied role. One day you'll be building new reticulation systems, and the next you'll be repairing and maintaining existing council infrastructure. It is aPermanent, full-time role with minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and upgrade reticulation systems for residential subdivisions, commercial developments and public infrastructure projects

Carry out trenching and excavation for water system installations, in line with design specifications and council standards

Lay, align and joint pipes of various materials (PVC, PE, ductile iron, etc.), and install fittings, valves and associated components

Maintain and repair existing water and stormwater networks, including burst mains, blockages and damaged pipework

Work safely in confined spaces such as manholes and chambers

Coordinate a small crew on site and support the setup of traffic management

Communicate professionally with council representatives, property owners and the public

Complete daily records of work carried out, and resources used and flag any variations to the Project Manager.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' experience in water reticulation or pipeline construction/maintenance, OR a Level 4 Pipeline Construction & Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)

Full Class 1 Driver's Licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsement an advantage)

Certificate in Confined Space & Gas Detection

PE welding (electrofusion/butt fusion) certification preferred
