12-month FTC / Secondment Opportunity - Senior Analyst, FX MM Settlements

What is the opportunity?

This role supports pre and post-trade deal processing for RBC Capital Markets' Foreign Exchange and Money Market trading businesses and clients.

You will serve as an EMEA oversight and escalation function for business-as-usual operations, acting as a first line of defence to the trading businesses, while maintaining accurate books and records and ensuring regulatory compliance.

RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

• Assist the Team Manager on projects, process improvements, and new business initiatives.
• Develop product and market knowledge to reduce operational risks.
• Escalate unusual behaviour and processing issues to management in a timely manner.
• Investigate processing issues and recommend courses of action.
• Support colleagues during busy periods by sharing workloads.
• Provide best-in-class client services to internal and external clients with timely responses.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Good knowledge of Foreign Exchange and Money Market products, processes, key operational controls and associated risks.
• Breakthrough/innovative thinking and customer insight.
• Calm, logical approach to situations and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong teamwork, cooperation and collaboration skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice-to-have

• AI systems knowledge.
