2026/129 Staff Nurse Colposcopy

Specified Purpose Contract, Full Time Position

The post holder is expected to work closely with the nurse colposcopist's, doctors and other nursing and administration staff in the delivery of a sustainable clinical service to meet the needs of our population. Vision, innovation, flexibility, good communication, and managerial and teaching skills and an understanding of research and auditing skills are vital components of this position.

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates must be

Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais na hEireann)

And

Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Participation in audit or research project

Good computer skills

Knowledge of the healthcare system

Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development, training and research

Previous experience working in a Gynaecology, maternity, theatre or NICU setting
