Our Financial Services Team are seeking an accountant.

The hours of work for this position are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday for a fixed-term period of 6 months to cover parental leave.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Preparation of monthly management reports for Invercargill City Holdings Limited (ICHL) and HWCP Management Limited (HWCPL)

General Ledger Management, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and debtor management

Preparation of cashflow forecasts, annual budgets and treasury management

Assisting with the preparation of the Annual Reports for Invercargill City Holdings Limited and subsidiary entities

Provide support with financial system management and continuous improvement projects

Providing project-level support to the Invercargill City Council finance team

What you will bring:

A minimum of three years' post graduate experience in management and financial accounting within large and diverse organisations

Post Graduate Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Chartered Accountant designation - or equivalent

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and determine the business implications

Strong computer skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

Experience of making recommendations and influencing people to deliver business goals

Experience of driving planning and performance management

A strong understanding of accounting and reporting
