•       Are you a degree-qualified accountant with previous work experience (1+ years) in an accounting or business environment?

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a new Accountant to join our small, high-performing Finance team. The role offers an exciting career development opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience, who is interested in making a real difference in an organisation committed to ensuring public safety. You will contribute to the full range of finance team activities, including financial and management accounting, budgeting and planning, audit, payroll, taxation.

To be successful in the role you will enjoy being part of a collaborative team and have:

a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or related discipline

at least 1-2 years’ relevant work experience

strong accounting knowledge, numerical accuracy and attention to detail, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel

a proven ability to analyse information, identify issues and translate findings into clear, practical advice

clear written and verbal communication skills

a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
