Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting software to support our financial operations effectively.

Duties

Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and collections.

Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable activities.

Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations in all financial reporting.

Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft for data entry and financial analysis.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.

Communicate effectively with clients regarding payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.

Collaborate with the accounts payable department to ensure smooth financial operations.

Support medical billing processes, including CPT coding and ICD-10 compliance.

Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Experience

Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.

Familiarity with public accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus.

Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping.

Proficiency in using financial software for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Excellent math skills with a keen attention to detail for accurate account analysis.

Experience in revenue cycle management is beneficial.

Strong negotiation skills for effective communication with clients regarding collections.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of telemarketing practices may be advantageous for client outreach. Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
